Thank you to all of the players, donors and volunteers who made this year’s 22nd Annual US-Japan Friendship Cup Tennis Tournament a huge success. Tournament Information

The Japan Society is proud to present the 22nd Annual US-Japan Friendship Cup Tennis Tournament.

Started in 1987, the purpose of this friendly tournament is to develop a warm relationship between the peoples of Japan and the United States. The Consular Cup, which was donated to the tournament in 1990 by the Consulate General of Japan, will be awarded to the winner. Door prizes from Yonex will be raffled off at the closing ceremony, and lunch from Delica rf-1 will be provided to the participants.

When:
Saturday, June 6, 2009
9 am – 3:30 pm. Please be prompt.

Where:
Mills High School
400 Murchison Dr., Millbrae, CA 94030 [map]
(Street parking west of El Camino on Millbrae Ave.)

Fee:
$30 (includes lunch) Please bring your own drinks. No alcohol please.

Registration Deadline:
Friday, May 29. Refunds will not be granted after this date.

Other Information:
  • Matches will be men’s/women’s/mixed doubles; your partner will change each round.
  • Each round is an 8 game set (i.e. 6-2, 4-4).
  • Players must 17 or older to participate. All skill levels welcome.
  • There will be an award ceremony after the games, so participants are asked to stay until the end of the event.
  • We will confirm your participation by email prior to the tournament.
  • Players participate at their own risk. The Japan Society, Mills High School and San Mateo High School District will not be held responsible for any injury or accident sustained while playing in the tournament.
