Textbook: 会話＆日本語中級J501(中級から上級へ). This class may use additional materials provided by the instructor. Teaching materials and lessons covered may vary slightly from class to class.

The pre-advanced classes are designed for those who have finished intermediate level or equivalent. Knowledge of at least 500 kanji is useful. Knowledge of at least 500 kanji is useful.  Pre-advanced II class in San Francisco introduces open discussion based on materials in addition to the textbook.
